Mission Statement

The Institute is a multi-disciplinary organization comprised of five divisions: Prison Healthcare Consulting, Prison Litigation Consulting, Forensic Science Associates, The National Medical Examiner Clearinghouse and Attorney Referral Service.

We analyze circumstances surrounding suspicious deaths, prison medical malpractice, neglect, wrongful death issues, and personal injury matters. We aggressively monitor and research the standards, quality, and degree of accountability within the Medical Examiner System regarding death investigation across the United States.

We advocate basic medical rights for those incarcerated, for those released with medical problems as a result of negligent care, and for the families of those incarcerated who have died or who have died upon release from State Departments of Correction.

The Institute aggressively researches on a national scale and maintains an extensive database of Correctional HMO and healthcare provider practices and procedures, and policies and procedures of State Departments of Correction.
