TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT
Firearms Safety Instructor Course
Pre-approved in-service peace officer continuing education: {4 CEH’s Legal Studies and 4 CEH’s Firearms Skill Development}
Date/Times: Saturday, March 22, 2008, starting at 8: 00 a.m.
This course will cover the minimum requirements an instructor needs to teach an eight-hour “firearms safety training course.” Those completing the eight-hour “firearms safety training course” will be applying for a certificate of qualification for a concealed carry endorsement from their county sheriff and a concealed carry endorsement issued by the Department of Revenue. The course was recently updated with the language from Senate Bill 62 (enacted 8/28/07). This is a good refresher for anyone that has taken previous classes.
